1st FaN international Conference
February 27 to March 2, 2023, in Kloster Irsee, Germany
The 1st Fluctuations and Nonlinearities (FaN) International Conference will bring together scientists from physics, chemistry, and mathematics. The conference scope covers advanced research aspects of statistical properties of physical quantities such as non-Gaussian statistics, extreme nonlinearities, quantum fluctuations, entanglement, and fully dissipation-induced dynamics - equally in experiment, simulation, and theory. In the regime beyond thermal equilibrium, the study of fluctuations and nonlinear behavior are of prime interest in fields like soft matter, quantum transport, magnetism, nanomechanics, and ultrafast physics. An important goal is to establish synergies between these fields leading to entirely novel physical phenomena.
The conference is organized by the SFB 1432 Fluctuations and Nonlinearities in Classical and Quantum Matter beyond Equilibrium and funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation, SFB 1432 – Project-ID 425217212).
Invited talks and poster sessions form the program. The conference site in the former monastery Irsee near Kaufbeuren will provide a suitable environment for informal discussions.
The number of participants is limited. Please register here.
